Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, the daughter of a musician from Mexico was born into a music-loving family. The majority of her early years listening to classical music Boleros from the past, ranchero traditional or romantic songs and classic classical music. Ana loves tangos, operas and other theatrical performances. She was taught by her mother to sing, however she started more intense vocal training by Flavio Belcerra when she was just 16 years old. Belcerra was an internationally acclaimed Mexican opera Tenor. She studied in Guadalajara at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara and then in Toluca at The School of Sacred Music. The beginning of her professional career saw her perform with many opera choruses, chamber groups in Guadalajara. She sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to Southern California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and frequently performs solo in the traditional Latin American music at private events. The love she has for the performing arts, music, and the arts keeps her engaged in local projects in both her capacity as an artist and teacher. Ana has been a participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands (as well as Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana appreciates the opportunity to share her passion and love for the traditional Latin American songs with others as she hopes to inspire a passion particularly among the younger generation, to help keep this music vibrant and alive.Viva Mexico!
